Tate & Lyle Dark Muscovado Sugar is one of the least refined sugars available. Often the molasses released during the pressing of sugar beet is not removed, this gives the Muscovado sugar its characteristic toffee-like (and slightly bitter!) aftertaste. Very tasty for richer tasting baking or, for example, with a crumble.
